The following is a quick introduction to MessagEase.

Enter any of the most frequent letters (a, n, i, h, o, r, t, e, s) by simply tapping anywhere on its key. Since the keys are larger, it's much easier to target and tap these keys. 71% of times you'll be doing just that.

Enter any of the less frequent letters (q, u, p, b, j, d, g, c, q) by simply dragging from anywhere on the center key (O key) toward one of eight directions shown by that letter. For example, to enter "u" drag up from anywhere on the center key.

Enter any of the less frequent letters (v, l, x, m, f, w, y, k, y) by dragging from anywhere on the its key toward the center key. For example, to enter "v" drag down-right from anywhere on the top-left key.

You are done! from any application invoke MEKB by tapping on the "abc" for onscreen keyboard (not the Graffiti keyboard).
Setting options: Tab on "Configure" or "Details" to open MessagEaseKB option page (you can also reach this page from MEKB page> Menu). Keyboard: You can choose either a regular or small keyboard, placed on left or right of the screen. You can also make MEKB react only to "abc" and not to "123", saving that invocation for another keyboard. Font: You can either use the "Default" keyboard, meaning that MEKB's font will be that of the calling program, or you can explicitly set the font among the four proceeded. Drag: You can change the minimum drag length. If you taps are slipping and register as drags, increase drag length. If you drags are taken as taps, reduce this drag length. Scroll: You can use the up/down key on your Palm to scroll the text up/down. You can also use the cursor-right/left (drag left/right on key marked with 123/ABC) to move your cursor backward or forward. You can use this option to scroll by a page or a line Circle ANI: you can define a circle on the main keys to either give you a capital letter, or you can use either counter clockwise or clockwise circle to give you the underlying number. Drag & Return = Recall: Enables you to recall macros with a drag and return only. Capitalize Automatically: Helps capitalize the beginning of sentences. Done Button on Top: Self evident! Blank Keyboard: Advance users requested this feature. It's great for practicing. It also makes you rely on your memory and not looking for the letters, thereby increasing your speed. Keyboard Clicks: turn on/off the key click sounds.
Please Note: To REMOVE MessagEaseKB from your Palm: Run MessagEase and select QWERTY or uncheck MessagEaseKB on your X-Master. Perform a soft reset. Delete the files you installed.
