Installation of MessagEaseST on your
Tungsten T3,
Tungsten T5, or
Tungsten LifeDrive


1. Install Software:

 

For Tungsten T3: HotSync and install everything in the folder "Install These On T3"


Double click on all five files or drag and move them to your Palm Quick Install window.

For Tungsten T5, or LifeDrive: HotSync and install everything in the folder "Install These On T5, or LifeDrive"

Double click on all three files or drag and move them to your Palm Quick Install window.

2. Activate MessagEase:

Run MessagEase and tap to activate it!

3. Your are done!

Go to any application and tap or drag to enter full text!

 

MessagEase works on portait or landscape mode of Tungsten T3, T5, or LifeDrive! You can use it either left-handed or right-handed landscape (switchable from Palms Prefs).

 

 

 

 

 

You can choose a keyboard with letters on left (ANI-123) or letters on right (123-ANI). Just select "Configure" and then "Keyboard" to select between these two.

 

Please Note: To REMOVE MessagEase from your Tungsten T3, T5, or LifeDrive:

  • Run MessagEase and select Graffiti, then "Done".
  • Delete MessagEase.Prc and the skin files.

Enter any of the most frequent letters (a, n, i, h, o, r, t, e, s) by simply tapping anywhere on its key. Since the keys are larger, it's much easier to target and tap these keys. 71% of times you'll be doing just that.
Enter any of the less frequent letters (q, u, p, b, j, d, g, c, q) by simply dragging from anywhere on the center key (O key) toward one of eight directions shown by that letter. For example, to enter "u" drag up from anywhere on the center key.
Enter any of the less frequent letters (v, l, x, m, f, w, y, k, y) by dragging from anywhere on the its key toward the center key. For example, to enter "v" drag down-right from anywhere on the top-left key.

 
Enter numbers by tapping on the number keys.

Enter special characters by dragging on their position on the number or letter keys. Drag from anywhere on its key toward the direction shown by that special character. For example, to enter "(" drag left from anywhere on the 4 or H key. Or, to enter "@" drag down-left from anywhere on the 6 or R key.

You can drag and return for more special characters, but that is covered in the manual. Read the manual!

Your MessagEaseST for T3, T5 or LifeDrive, is complete with nothing disabled. It will work for two months for free. If you continue to use it after that, you'll need to register (Please visit http://www.exideas.com and tap on Register!)

We will eventually integrate the keyboard installation inside MEST program!
